Built for the people who actually ship.

HSCodeLab is the source of truth for HS codes, tariffs, and trade policy — assembled from authoritative customs data, kept current by automated pipelines, and tuned by humans who have moved goods themselves.

Mission

Make the rules of cross-border trade legible to everyone who has to move a product.

HS codes determine duty, eligibility, and risk in every single shipment that crosses a border. Yet the source data — published across half a dozen government systems in three formats — has historically been accessible only to brokers and large corporations. HSCodeLab consolidates it, keeps it current, and exposes it to anyone with a SKU to ship.

Principles

How we decide.

Authoritative sources only

We pull directly from USITC, EU TARIC, China Customs, UK Trade Tariff, Japan Customs, and CBP CROSS. We never republish secondary-source tariff data without verifying it.

Reference-only, never advice

We surface the facts and the reasoning. A licensed customs broker signs the declaration. We make that boundary obvious on every result page and in every export.

Updated daily, not weekly

Our pipelines run every 24 hours against the official feeds. Every result carries a visible "Last updated" timestamp so you know exactly how fresh the data is.

Your data is yours

We never train models on your uploads. Queries are deleted after 30 days unless you opt to save them. The full policy is on the Privacy page.
